6th Annual Southeastern Hedge Fund Competition

Description

Georgia State University and the Southeastern Alternative Funds Association (SEAFA) invite submissions to the 6th Annual Southeastern Hedge Fund Competition. Teams of students will submit hedge fund investment strategy proposals to be evaluated by a panel of investment professionals. Five finalist teams will be invited to a virtual final competition to present their proposals. We hope to offer scholarship prizes of $10,000 for the first place team, $5,000 for the second place team, $3,000 for the third place team, and $1,000 each for the fourth and fifth place teams. In addition, all members of submitting teams will have their resumes forwarded to participating hedge funds and investment firms. More information is available at robinson.gsu.edu/sehfc.

DATES:
-Submissions Due: March 4, 2022
-Notification of Finalists: March 29, 2022
-Final Competition: April 28, 2022

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Teams must submit their proposals through the competition website, robinson.gsu.edu/sehfc, by 11:59 PM EST on March 4, 2022. Teams are asked to submit a pdf file describing the proposed investment strategy. Length limits and suggestions on how to prepare a proposal are on the “Rules and FAQ” tab of the competition’s website. Submissions must be “blind,” meaning that the submission file must not indicate or hint at the submitting team’s school affiliation or team member names. Identifying information will be entered into a form on the submission page.
