About the Organization

Consistently ranked as the leading law school in Asia and one of the very best in the world, the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law (‘NUS Law’) is dedicated to building a vibrant community and creating an environment that facilitates critical thinking and reflection on the fundamental legal issues confronting our interconnected world. The law school has more than 60 academic staff members from all over the world and more than 1200 undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The Covid-19 pandemic has presented unprecedented challenges. Now, more than ever, the world needs innovative ideas to help shape a better future. By continuing to hire new talent, NUS is investing in the next generation of scholars to help them realise their full potential for a better post-Covid-19 world. During the pandemic, Singapore has prioritized the safety and well-being of all its residents. At the same time, it has sought to sustain individuals’ livelihoods and long-term economic growth. NUS’s commitment to long-term growth parallels that strategy.

Apart from the LL.B. programme and the J.D. programme launched in 2021, NUS Law also offers double–degree programmes in law and business, law and economics, law and life sciences, law and accountancy, law and liberal arts (with Yale-NUS College) and a concurrent degree programme in law and public policy (with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy). It has a vibrant postgraduate community of students working towards the LL.M. (with or without specialisation) and Ph.D. degrees. The research culture is strengthened by multiple centres of excellence and strong funding for a broad spectrum of legal scholarship.
