Job Description & Qualification

The Department of Finance at Texas Christian University invites applications and nominations for an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Neeley School of Business for Fall 2022 or until filled. Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in finance. The applicant should be capable of teaching high quality courses in multiple areas of finance. The Neeley School supports and expects high quality research. Successful candidates will demonstrate the potential to publish in leading finance journals.

The position requires a completed Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Finance or an related discipline. The applicant for this position should be capable of effectively teaching finance courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and a strong research capabilities are required. Candidates must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

The Department of Finance has 16 full-time faculty members, who consistently publish in the leading finance journals. In past years, members of the Department of Finance have had papers published in the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, American Economic Review, and other leading journals. The LKCM Center for Financial Studies enhances the quality, prestige, and national visibility of finance programs at the Neeley School of Business by providing research support for faculty, industry partnerships, and assisting students searching for excellent employment opportunities in finance.
