Job Description & Qualification

The Department Finance and Management Science (FMS) at Washington State University is seeking qualified candidates for one permanent, full-time position at the main campus in Pullman. Appointment is Assistant Professor rank but Associate or Full Professor may be considered depending on qualifications. The position is tenure-track and subject to budget approval.

The successful candidate will be required to teach four courses per year (typically two per semester) in the corporate finance, investments, international finance, financial modeling and/or financial markets and institutions areas, conduct high quality academic research in Finance, and serve the Department, College and University as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. in finance or closely aligned field from a nationally or internationally recognized university by the appointment start date. Demonstrated commitment to excellence or potential for excellence in teaching and teaching effectiveness. Demonstrated record of research published in, or demonstrated potential to publish in, and current research targeted towards premier journals in finance.


Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with capabilities of teaching various undergraduate and graduate-level discipline elective courses preferred, with preference being given to candidates who exhibit an ability to offer an accessible and inclusive orientation to their courses.
